Mudworks Get your hands dirty! Learn a variety of ceramic techniques (coil, slab, extruding, wheel, pinch) to create beautiful and useful objects. A great class for beginners, but whatever your level of experience, you will find expert instruction, great project ideas and lots of clay to work (terra cotta, white modeling, and high-fire stoneware) and gorgeous glazes to explore. Drawing and Painting: Focus on the Figure This 8 week course will be divided into 4 weeks of drawing and 4 weeks of painting. The subject of our artwork will be a live clothed model. Drawing techniques, such as gesture, contour and continous line drawing will be developed during this time. Also, use of watercolor, ink washes, and acrylic will be used in the last 4 weeks.
